After a close defeat in their second game the Bec reserves were looking for revenge and it was emphatic statement that was sent out to others in the league.
The Bec players had seen how to play the game and not to play the game in the earlier KO.
Mentally they were prepared for the game.
The game started with the Bec playing the ball around confidently and the opposition weren't ready for what hit them next. Within 15 minutes the Bec were 3-1 up. A through ball was chased down by Campbell who rounded the keeper but with the angle tight decided to turn and square to Wotherspoon to slam it home. Campbell was causing the opposition problems and his sharpness lead to an OG as his drilled shot was diverted into the net by a defender.
The next two goes were identical as Bowers combined with Campbell for Campbell to strike twice. The opposition struck back with a goal due to an astray pass but the half belonged to the Bec as they controlled the game with intelligent possession.
The second half was boring as the Bec kept possession but never really threatened a goal, until the left back surged forward and was taken down in the box.
After deliberation, Campbell who was on a hatrick took the spot kick...luckly it went in. Not the most convincing strike but it meant the first hatrick at the club for this season.
Campbell must now realise that after his antics, performance and goals, eye will be on him.
